Portomaso
Property dealing remains one of the core activities of the Tumas Group. The Group holds one of the largest ‘land banks’ on the Island. Apart from the development of larger residential and leisure complexes, it is very active in purchasing, selling, leasing and developing residential and commercial properties.

The real estate development and office leasing arm of the property division is particularly active. Besides the Portomaso Business Tower, other prestigious office complexes are being developed. The Group also specialises in providing companies and organisations with  custom-built offices, on a turnkey basis, with a comprehensive service ranging from provision of the land, design, processing of permits, construction and finishing to handover.

The property division undertakes these projects through various sub-contractors specialised in the relevant trades, co-ordinated through the Group’s in-house property development company, so as to ensure an all-round seamless service to our clients.

The Malta Financial Services Authority, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Barclays Bank, AK Bank, Microsoft and other established names of note have purchased or leased office space developed by the Group.

Tas-Sellum Development

The Tas-Sellum Residence is yet another Tumas Group initiative and sister project to Portomaso. This is an architectural gem comprising clusters of luxury apartments built on a steep hillside which graduates gracefully to the seashore.

The project is designed in 3 phases totaling 150 villa apartments planned in 13 clusters set in an approximatly 17,000 square meters area of landscaped grounds and gardens.

This tranquil, commanding position is complimented by outstanding features which include superb views of Mellieha bay, low density development, sensitive landscaping, totally car free zone (all vehicle circulation is underground), individual underlying lock up garages, communal swimming pools, easy access to the foreshore and proximity to sandy beaches.

Construction commenced in 2005 and the first apartments were completed in 2007.

Portomaso (Spinola Development)

Portomaso, the standard-setting project at St. Julian’s in Malta, was wholly conceived and developed by Tumas Group. It is today considered to be the Island’s most exclusive residential, leisure and business address having won, amongst others, the Gold Award in the Best Marina Development Category and Silver Award in the Luxury Development Category in the 2005 International Property Awards, the “Oscars” of the International development world.

This seafront project comprises the 5-star deluxe Hilton Malta, currently being extended to a 406 room hotel, 420 luxury apartments, a yacht marina, a 23-storey business tower, a major conference venue, an underground car park, restaurants and a shopping mall. Ta' Monita Estates

Ta’ Monita Estates Ltd, is a joint venture between the Tumas Group and third parties, set up for the sole purpose of redeveloping the Ta’Monita site in Marsascala. Tumas Group will be handling the marketing of the development.

The company aims to build a development of a high caliber, setting new standards for development in the south of the Island.

The two companies behind the venture are known leaders in the development field. Portomaso and the up and coming Tas-Sellum Residence in Mellieha show that the Group has the experience and resources to achieve our aim.

Ta’ Monita covers an area of over 18,000 square meters and its redevelopment shall result in apartments ranging from studio flats to 3 bedroom apartments and penthouses. The facilities include a swimming pool, a piazza and underground parking.

Low building density, lavish sensitive landscaping and unusually attractive elevations shall go a long way towards upgrading the locality.

Besides meeting local demand, the company aims to attract foreign high net worth individuals whose investment makes a significant high contribution to local economic activity.
